Let’s get in on the table<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place a number of Survey Team cards face up in the center of the table equal to the number of players, and return the remaining Survey Team cards to the box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it is your first game, give each player one of the preset starting hands marked A, B, C, or D, then shuffle the rest of the cards to form the draw deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In future games, shuffle all the game cards and deal seven cards to each player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each player chooses two cards to discard face down, leaving them with a starting hand of five cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, place the Victory Point chips and Explore markers within easy reach of all players. Once everyone has their starting hand and the components are ready, the game can begin.<\/p>\n\n\n

Once everyone has their starting hand, the game begins with all players taking their turns simultaneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During each round, you decide whether to play a development card, a world card, both a development and a world, or to explore instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Development cards are paid for by discarding cards from your hand, while worlds are either paid for in the same way or conquered if they are military worlds. If you choose to play only a development, its cost is reduced by one card. If you play only a world, you immediately draw one card after placing it. Playing both a development and a world in the same round gives you more opportunities to expand your empire, but you must pay the full costs and do not receive the bonus card draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you cannot or do not want to play any cards, you can choose the Explore action. Exploring allows you to draw extra cards, keep the best ones, and prepare for stronger turns later in the game. This is an excellent option when your hand lacks useful cards or when you are searching for better combinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After every player has revealed and placed their cards, everyone scores Victory Points from the cards currently in their empire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many cards provide additional points or income based on the types of worlds, icons, or technologies you have built, making card combinations an important part of the strategy. Once scoring is complete, players collect new cards equal to their total income. If anyone has more than ten cards in hand after drawing, they must discard down to the hand limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game continues over several rounds as players expand their space empires, discover powerful card synergies, and race to earn Victory Points. The game immediately ends when any player reaches 50 or more Victory Points at the end of a round. The player with the highest total score wins the game. If two or more players are tied, the tied player with the most cards remaining in hand plus the highest income is declared the winner. If there is still a tie, those players share the victory.<\/p>\n\n\n

Jump Drive is a fast, enjoyable card game that is easy to learn but offers enough depth to keep players coming back for more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over a hundred unique cards, every game feels different as you discover new combinations and adapt your strategy to the cards you draw. This variety gives the game excellent replay value and makes each session feel fresh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, the overall flow of the game remains fairly consistent. Every match follows the same core objective: build your empire as efficiently as possible, generate Victory Points, and reach the finish line before your opponents. While the cards may change from game to game, the path to victory stays largely the same, making the experience predictable after repeated plays. Even so, Jump Drive succeeds as a quick and satisfying engine-building game. Its short playtime, simple rules, and rewarding card synergies make it an excellent choice for both newcomers and experienced gamers looking for a fast strategic challenge. If you enjoy creating powerful combinations and watching your space empire grow, Jump Drive is definitely worth a place on your table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
